Rita is an accomplished professional with over 25 years of experience in Human Resources, Safety, and Health management. She currently serves as the President and CEO of the Employers Network, a non-profit employers association located in Spartanburg, SC. In addition to being an authorized instructor for OSHA General Industry and Construction.

Rita holds multiple certifications, including SHRM-SCP (Society for Human Resource Management - Senior Certified Professional) and HRCI SPHR (Human Resource Certification Institute - Senior Professional in Human Resources), demonstrating her expertise in the field. She is also a Six Sigma Green Belt certified professional, showcasing her proficiency in process improvement and quality management.

The founder and President of Horton Consulting, LLC is Judy Horton. She’s always had a passion for helping people discover those cool little aha moments. With that in mind, Horton Consulting was founded in 2019.

She has over 20 years of experience in multiple variations of team leadership. She’s led Human Resource and Information Technology teams for three global multi-billion-dollar companies. Her experience in Information Systems, HR Operations, Learning, as well as Project Management, gives her a unique perspective on business and people evolution.

Judy holds several professional certifications, including SHRM-SCP (Society for Human Resource Management – Senior Certified Professional), Certified Business Coach™, and a Project Management Professional (PMP). She’s a certified practitioner for the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL) and utilizes various assessments to aid in feedback and development to improve productivity, communication, and success. She is also a certified practitioner for Wiley’s Five Behaviors of a Team™ to further the work on making teams more cohesive and productive and CCL’s Better Conversations Everyday™ to improve communication.

Serving her community is important. Judy served two terms as President of the Spartanburg SHRM Chapter and remains on the Board. She is also a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and teaches the HR Certification class to HR professionals. She serves as a Board Member on the Upstate Workforce Board to further drive employment across Spartanburg, Union, and Cherokee Counties of South Carolina. 

Darryl is a 26-year SC Army National Guard Veteran and Judy’s father served in the Army. She wants to serve people like them. She’s a Veteran advocate and Career Coach for Veterans and military spouses, volunteers with various Veteran service organizations, and teaches employers how to hire and retain veterans and military spouses. She volunteers for SC ESGR (Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve) and teaches USERRA training.

Darryl and Judy reside in Spartanburg, SC, with their Italian Greyhound rescue, Ripley.

Joy has extensive Human Resource; she started her Human Resource career in training, development and coaching and has since worked in Human Resources across multiple market segments. She has managed HR for family-owned businesses to global companies. She has an Office/Business Management degree with a minor in Psychology. Joy is SPHR and SHRM-CP certified. She has been married to Keith for 32+ years and they have 3 sons. Joy enjoys baking, reading, playing board games, camping and traveling in her free time.
